Last weekend, we were honored to receive a third place award at Everyday Democracy’s national convening for our work with young people across the state. We were one of finalists for the young leaders scholarship and grant competition.

It was an incredible opportunity to join young leaders from across the country and learn how they are creating change in their own communities. Each day of the event taught and inspired us more to fight harder for equity for all in my in the work we do. We made critical connections with leaders working on similar issues as can’t wait to collaborate with them in 2017 and beyond. We want to thank the board, staff, and volunteers of Every Day Democracy for allowing us to attend this invaluable conference.
