On February 2, 2015, we launched the first #WhyNotUsTour, traveling to eight universities across the state to engage young people on the issues they care about, on their terms.
We brought our trainings (issues advocacy, digital media, graphic design, how to run for office) to a wide range of student groups focused on LGBT justice, women’s rights, environmental awareness, human trafficking, and other issues.
Today we’re excited to announce we reached over 200 young people throughout the length of the tour!
It was an incredible opportunity to build relationships with the future leaders of Georgia. We’re going to immediately build on this success and continue training young people on the issues they care about.
